Just Do It

"Just do it" is a famous catchphrase from a known sports brand; however, this article is geared toward doing the precepts in the word of God. This was written at the beginning of a new decade/year i.e., 2020. However, it would still be applicable at any period of a new year.

Many people have lately been spending time to reflect on what goals they would like to set for the new year. I would challenge you further to devote time to daily goals. The day to day activities is what will shape the path of your destiny. Matthew 6:34 specifically addresses not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. While having a vision (ability to see or imagine a future occurrence) is essential, the daily attribute is what mainly determines whether the vision will be fulfilled or not. Proverbs 8:34 says blessed [happy, prosperous, to be admired] is the man who listens to me (Godly wisdom), watching daily at my gates, waiting at my doorposts. For whoever finds me (Wisdom) finds life and obtains favor and grace from the Lord. Your daily activities will vary depending on what path you’re on in life or your purpose. The main driver of what your day is filled with should be based on what God is asking you to do, which is the reason why you have to seek the Lord first to know your daily goals.

In conclusion, take more time to align your daily activities to provide opportunities for you to make progress in spiritual, mental, financial, social, intellectual growth. Keep it simple, ask yourself what the priority for this month is, and then break it down further to know what you have to get done weekly to meet the month’s goal. Your daily activities will be simpler to derive from this approach once you outline the week’s priority. The keyword is consistently getting things done!
